Effect of Chungkan-Haewul-Tang on Anti-inflammatory Analgesic action , Immunocytes and MCF-7 cells

Abstract

|
The purpose of this research was to investigate effect of water extract of Chungkan-Haewul-Tang(CHT) on the anti-inflammatory, analgesic action, immunocytes and MCF-7 cells. CHT inhibited the permeability of evans blue into peritoneal cavity. CHT did not affect the mouse paw edema induced by histamine. CHT increased lucigenin chemiluminescence from macrophage and accelerated. the release of nitric oxide from macrophage. CHT did not affect the proliferation of mouse thymocytes, splenocytes and Balb/c 3T3 cells. CHT inhibited the writhing syndrome induced by acetic acid and acetylcholine. CHT inhibited the proliferation of MCF-7 cells at 100 ㎍/ml.
These results suggest that CHT has the anti-inflammatory, analgesic action, the action of macrophage activation and the cytotoxicity on MCF-7 cells.
